Refund Policy

Overview

At IR Light Designers, we are committed to delivering exceptional lighting design services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on our services and products.

Design Services

Initial Consultation

Initial consultation fees are non-refundable as they represent time committed by our design professionals. However, if you are dissatisfied with the consultation, we will work with you to address your concerns.

Design Deposits

Design project deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced. Deposits secure your project slot and represent commitment of resources and time. In cases where we cannot proceed with a project due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, deposits will be refunded in full.

Project Cancellation

If you cancel a project after work has begun:

  • You will be charged for work completed to date at our standard hourly rates
  • Any remaining balance after deducting work completed will be refunded
  • Deposits are applied toward work completed and are non-refundable

Products and Fixtures

Custom Orders

Custom-ordered lighting fixtures and products are non-refundable and cannot be returned as they are specifically manufactured or procured for your project.

Standard Products

Standard, non-custom products may be returned within 30 days of delivery if:

  • Products are unused and in original packaging
  • Products are free from damage or defects caused by installation or use
  • Return authorization has been obtained from our team

Restocking fees of 15-25% may apply to standard product returns.

Installation Services

Installation service fees are non-refundable once work has been completed. If you are unsatisfied with installation quality, we will return to address and correct any issues at no additional charge.

Defective Products

If a product is defective or damaged upon arrival:

  • Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  • Provide photographic evidence of defect or damage
  • We will arrange replacement or refund at no cost to you

Manufacturer warranties apply to all products. We will assist in warranty claims as needed.

Satisfaction Commitment

While our refund policy has specific terms, client satisfaction is our priority. If you have concerns about any aspect of our service:

  • Contact us immediately to discuss the issue
  • We will work with you to find a satisfactory solution
  • In exceptional circumstances, we may offer accommodations beyond this policy

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow additional time for your financial institution to process the refund.

Request Process

To request a refund:

  • Contact us via email or phone with your request
  • Provide your project or order details
  • Explain the reason for your refund request
  • We will review and respond within 3 business days

Exceptions

This refund policy does not apply in cases of:

  • Changes requested by client after work completion
  • Damages caused by client or third parties
  • Project delays caused by client
  • Force majeure events affecting service delivery
